Welcome to Norman Park

Norman Park 4170

Likely to have been named after the nearby Norman Creek and the contemporary Governor of Queensland Henry Wylie Norman in the 1890s, substantial residential settlement started to grow in the 1920s. Located just five kilometres southeast of Brisbane’s CBD, Norman Park has developed into a quiet but vivacious inner-city neighbourhood in which to live. Characterised by renovated and replica Queenslanders, modern homes, townhouses, and charming workers cottages where you can sit and watch the beautiful sunsets or fireworks and take in the awesome breezes.

Norman Park has its special piece of history, “Eulalia” in McIlwraith Avenue built in 1889 boasts its incredible features, tasteful real estate, charming shops and is surrounded by extensive parklands and reserves, such as the Norman Creek Greenway. The Brisbane River is within walking distance, add into the mix the great public transport systems (three radical bus corridors pass through the suburb, centrally located train station, cross-river ferry) it is easy to see why this treasured neighbourhood is so appealing to young families, young professionals alike, as living in Norman Park offers the best of both worlds.
